Andre Ayew ruled out Sudan-Ghana clash due to injury
Ghana skipper Andre Ayew has been ruled out of the second leg AFCON Qualifier with Sudan to be played on Tuesday.
He picked up an injury on Saturday afternoon at training and his absence will be a massive blow after the skipper and two-goal hero against Sudan.
Andre Ayew, the Swansea City star was forced out of training with the Black Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday afternoon. He was then attended to by the team’s medics, but it’s still unclear the extent of injury he has picked.
However, sources close to the team have disclosed that the skipper has been ruled out of the game and will not travel with the team to Sudan.
Ghana skipper Andre Ayew was instrumental for the Black Stars on Thursday as Ghana hosted Sudan at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, bagging a brace for the West African giants.
Ayew fired Ghana in front with an expertly taken free kick before the break and increased the tally with a brilliant individual effort to give Ghana a 2-0 win over Velud’s men.
