Major Mahama Murder Suspects Committed To Trial At High Court


The Accra Central District Court has committed fourteen accused persons who allegedly murdered the late major Adam Mahama to stand trial at the High Court.

This was after the Chief State Attorney Evelyn Kelson presented the bill of indictment and summary of evidence to the court.

According to her the fourteen accused persons have been identified as key players in the death of major Mahama.

The Court presided over by His Worship, Ebenezer Owusu Ansah affirmed that all the evidence the attorney general presented has found are true and without fault.

All the accused persons when asked to talk said they have nothing to say.

He therefore committed them to stand trial at the high Court on the 15th of next month to face the charges leveled against them.

The counsel for the accused persons George Bernard Shaw said they are ready with their witnesses including the police from Diaso.

The Attorney General tendered fifty two exhibits in court some of which are six inches cement block, sticks, his iPhones, metal bar, guns, partly burnt shirt, stone and one empty catriage.

The fourteen accused persons are William Baah,Bernard Asamoah Kofi Nyame Akwasi Baah Kwame Tuffour Joseph Appiah Kubi Michael Anim Bismark Donkor, John Bosie, Akwasi Asante, Charles Kwaning, Emmanuel Badu ,Bismark Abanga and Kwadwo Animah.

They have all been charged with three counts including murder.
